Lip reading is a slowly growing series which mimics the experience of lip reading which anna relies on for communicating with hearing people. Anna noticed that there are words with different sounds and meanings that look identical to other words when spoken. Like queer and wheel. This phenomenon interested her and after many, many, many lip reading mishaps she decided to draw out lips pronouncing specific words to better understand what words do look like through the shape of mouths. Through this series anna also hopes to give hearing people the opportunity to practice lip reading and step into the shoes of a deaf person who relies on it. Lip reading is exhausting.
